What do I need to do to book you?

Book a bridal consultation, sign the electronic contract and pay the 50% deposit (which can also be paid electronically via credit card online or at the salon) will reserve your date. The remaining 50% is due in one payment on the wedding day, or you can pay your balance off in advance of the wedding if you prefer. While most of our clients prefer the ease of electronic payments via credit card, we also happily accept cash and paypal.

Can I have a trial run BEFORE booking?
Sure we can do that for you, but please understand the date will not be reserved until a contract and deposit are in place. We do not hold dates pending trial runs. Trial runs consist of going over your wedding details, everything from centerpieces to bridesmaid gowns, discussing skin care and brow grooming regime prior to the wedding, as well as scheduling hair cuts , highlights & extensions ( if applicable) . We will discuss the hair and makeup looks you have in mind and will execute both full looks on you, and will go back and make adjustments as necessary until you are 100% happy. We then take photographs and detailed notes so we can replicate the look again on your wedding day. This appointment is typically 2-3 hours long and costs $200.

How far in advance should I book your services?
The sooner the better! 3-8 months in advance is typical, but a year or more isn't out of the question. If you're wanting to book last minute, go ahead and contact us! You never know, we could still be available!

Do you have a studio? Do you come to me?
Yes and yes! I typically do consultations, trial runs, bridal / engagement portrait hair & makeup and all other "pre-wedding" appointments at the salon, however I am also available to come on site to you for those appointments for an additional travel fee. On wedding days travel on site to your location is included (within the DFW Metro) .

What is your cancellation policy?

There are no refunds given due to a cancellation after the contract and deposit are in place. I require payment in advance for any hair/makeup appointments that are booked outside of a wedding contract.

I have a multi-day event, do you offer me any discounts?
Please request a quote and give me some details in the comments so I can give you a customized quote.

Can you cover a tattoo? Yes I can! I have been trained by experts in this field, and use waterproof, transfer resistant makeup. Price for tattoo cover is approximately $25/square inch. Please measure your tattoo and send a picture of the tattoo to info@cheeksmakeupartistry.com and I will give you a customized quote.

Can you stay on site for touch-ups? Can you come back and change my makeup or hair into a different style for the reception?

I am happy to accommodate these special requests, and an hourly rate will take affect for these types of situations. Please request a quote and let me know more about your needs.

I have a lot of girls and a very short window of time for us all to get ready. Can you accommodate us?
If you have a tight timeline the day of your wedding, but a large wedding party, I am still more than able to accommodate you! If your schedule is flexible - not to worry, we automatically include 2-3 artists for most wedding parties that have at least 5 hours of time for hair and makeup at no additional charge. Typically the additional artist fee only kicks in with extreme circumstances, such as you have 12 girls that all need hair and makeup within a 2 hour window.

Do you charge extra for early morning events?

Is gratuity included automatically?
Gratuities are left to the discretion of our clients and are not reflected in our pricing. However they are always greatly appreciated if you feel you have received excellent service.

What kind of makeup do you use?
The BEST kinds. Premium, professional products. Most of the brand names in my kit are not ones you will recognize as they are considered professional, not consumer, brands. Therefore you won't find them in department stores. These brands offer the most beautiful finish, the best longevity and the highest performance. I don't use private label cosmetics (which are generic brand cosmetics a lot of artists use because they are able to stock them in bulk and sell them to you) other than lip glosses for touch up kits. If you're interested in purchasing the makeup used on you for your own personal use, I'm happy to offer you the professional makeup I use in my kit for purchase. Do you provide any specialty services? (airbrushing, extensions, false eyelashes, etc)
I do provide airbrush makeup, however I have found it is not always the best choice for every skin type and texture! At your trial run we will discuss what the best choice is for you. I am also happy to provide clip-in or sew-in hair extensions for an additional $100, and the extensions are yours to keep! I love false eyelashes and recommend them for everybody! The price for lashes is already included in my bridal rates, and I am happy to add them on for bridesmaids, moms and other attendants for $5/pair.If you have questions about other specialty services, just ask! If I don't provide the service chances are I can recommend someone who does.
