You love the crochet braid style but you hate the parts and gaps. You’ve tried different Braid foundations however you still find yourself trying to hide gaps.
A great way to fix that issue is with using a hair weaving net. Much like using the net for a sew-in, the net allows you to attach the crochet hair on a larger surface instead of the just the braid.
Attaching hair to the net also takes tension off of the hair. So no more worrying about weak areas in you braids or your braids coming undone.
Here’s a short video to show you a bit of the process.
As with any braided style, you want to make sure you are not braiding your hair to tight or pulling on the hair excessively causing breakage or damage to the hair follicles or hair line.
Interested in getting this style done for yourself? Head on over to my braid services page for more info on booking an appointment. Have you or anyone you know tried using a net for their crochets braid foundation? or Do you have questions about getting your crochet braids done this way? Some of you may be wondering what exactly is a Blow Out, Hydrapress, and Keratin Treament? Which one will work best for me?
So what exactly is a...
A blow out is when a the stylist finishes the style using a blow dryer and styling brush, such as a round brush or paddle brush. NO flat iron or curling irons are used to finish the hair.
At C&D Beauty Studio (Cheeks: Makeup | Hair | Lashes and DiDi Payne Artistry) This service includes a basic wash and condition. If you desire a smoother look or enhanced curls that require a curling iron, please be sure to add the service titled "Iron Works" to your service.
Keratin Treatment (Smoothing Treatment)
A smoothing treatment great for all hair textures who want curl control and or smoother hair when straightening. We use the Keratin Complex Glycolic Smoothing System. Results last for up to 3 months. (I will go into greater detail on a different blog) This system:
- provides protection against breakage
- you can wear you hair curly or straight
- reduces frizz
- increase manageability, making hair soft
- enhances the shine and bounce of the hair
So in short a blow out is best for those who are just wanting a quick wash, condition, and blow dry only. If your hair is needing a little more TLC and is highly textured than the Hydrapress will be best for you. Lastly, if you are wanting versatility, humidity resistant hair when straight and curl control when worn in its natural state that is easier to mainage for at least three months with breakage protection than the Keratin (Smoothing) Treatment is what you are looking for.
